Coconuts – good or bad??

Nutrition and health are like a parachute.
Keep an open mind as the concepts have changed.

In the past it was felt that saturated fat was bad therefore no coconuts. We now know that coconuts a re great source of minerals, electrolytes and vitamins. Also coconuts may have properties to help lower blood pressure, lose weight,, increase energy, improve athletic performance, (Beware if one has chronic kidney disease because of the higher potassium). Coconuts support our immune system health as it is anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic.

Coconuts are one of the most nutritious foods we can eat as part of our regular diet ! There is a difference in coconut water and coconut milk
